Head inside during those hot summer days and get an early start on all of the special gifts that you want to create for the holidays.

Design by Robert Oddy
A 15-1/2" x 18-1/2" plated fish-in-pond panel with foil overlay, wire, and painted detailing. Careful glass selection and the layered glass give the illusion of the fish being under the water and the water lilies floating on the surface. The eyes of the fish are completed with the use of iridized glass nuggets.

Gloria’s Glorious Fuchsias
Design by Leslie Gibbs
An 8" x 15-1/8" floral panel with intricate design. The vibrant violets and pinks used in this project bring this realistic presentation to life. Colorful, tiny filaments on the flowers are created using painted wire. The project is framed in zinc U-channel.

Bird Feeder with Seed Reservoir
Design by Chantal Paré
An 8-1/2" x 9" hexagonal birdfeeder with geometric design. This Frank Lloyd Wright–inspired feeder is reinforced with steel rods and is accessed for filling by lifting the conical top piece. Lead-free solder is required for the safety of the wildlife visiting the feeder.

Trumpet Vine Visit—An Introduction to Stained Glass
Design by Karen Stephenson
A 5-3/4" x 5-3/4" free-form suncatcher with expanded instructions for the beginning glass crafter. A description of worktable requirements, tips for selecting the right glass cutter, and a list of tools and supplies that are necessary for stained glass are provided.

Light Up Your Life
Design by Darlene Johnson and Judy Lee
A 6-1/4" x 5" fused pyramid lampshade with geometric design. The pieces for each panel are cut from Float Fire 82 glass and fused together, and the shade is then constructed in the usual manner.

Design by Mark Waterbury
Two 18-1/8" x 24-1/8" floral panels. One is presented as an intermediate-level stained glass project and the other is created using regular- and reverse-etching techniques on mouthblown flashed glass. Precautions for keeping flux from seeping out onto the etched pieces during construction are discussed.

Grecian Urn
Design by Susan Hood
A 16" x 24" classic panel with intricate design. A Taurus ring saw was used to draw the lines of this design, which is reminiscent of the Greek style. The layers of glass are joined using ultraviolet glue.

Timeless Celtic Cross
Design by Deverie Wood
A 22" x 22" free-form cross enhanced with bevels and glue chip center. The cross is constructed using bevels and strips of glass that are the same width, which makes this artwork easier to create. The Morton Grid system is used to keep all of the strips evenly cut.

Goldfinches and Sunflowers
Design by Leslie Gibbs
A 12-1/8" x 16-1/8" oval bird-and-floral panel. Detailing is added to the project using paint along with wire overlay that is made of pretinned 16-gauge copper wire.
