Praying Hands
Design by Carolyn Kyle
A 12-1/8" x 16-1/8" oval panel with religious theme that interprets the famous Albrecht Dürer work in stained glass. Careful color selections help to add dimension to the piece, which is reinforced with zinc U-channel. This project was constructed using the copper foil technique.

Tips for proper placement of the design pieces and general tips for working with mosaics are also included.

Holly and Ivy
Design by Karen Stephenson
Three 13-3/8" x 17-7/8" copper foil holiday panels. Project simulations illustrate how using different types and colors of glass can create many looks from one pattern. The pattern in this issue can be enlarged, or full-sized pattern #133 can be purchased from Glass Patterns Quarterly for $7.00.

Fused Quilt Block Tiles
Design by Linda Scott
A 4" square tile block created from smaller glass squares that are fused together between a black iridescent base and a clear top. The Morton Portable Glass Shop is used to aid with the layout process and to ensure that the finished tiles are a perfect square. Patterns are added to the small glass pieces using rubber stamps coated with high-fire enamel paints.
