Fused Peacock

Design by Mark Waterbury
A 30" round, fused bird panel with purple peacock. His brilliant tail is unfurled and shows clear with white or black streamers, white quills, and eyespots of amber and blue. Streamers glass is cut at alternating angles to achieve a crisscrossed look in the background. The copper foil technique is also used in the construction of this project. The pattern in this issue can be enlarged, or full-sized pattern #19 may be purchased from Glass Patterns Quarterly.
